NSDS Dress Code!

NSDS has a dress code that is required for dance students. The dress code, found below, outlines the different leotard options – with each age group wearing a different color! Please make sure your child is wearing the correct dance attire in class. Our studio sells all required dancewear!

Why Do We Have A Dress Code?

Fostering a Sense of Identity: Dressing in specific dance attire creates visual unity among our dancers, fostering a sense of identity, belonging and pride within our passionate community.

Enhancing Discipline and Focus: The dress code plays a crucial role in enhancing discipline and focus during dance classes. By minimizing distractions and creating a professional atmosphere, it ensures that every student can make the most out of their dance education.

Promoting Equality and Inclusivity: Uniformity in attire promotes equality among our dancers, irrespective of their background or personal style. It fosters a sense of inclusivity, emphasizing that everyone is an essential part of our dance family.

We love Next Step Dance Studio. We started with Parent & Tot (toddler) class. That was a lot of fun and then transitioned into Twinkle Toes I ... the teachers & assistants are AMAZING!

Happy Parents and Dancers

I can’t even explain how thankful I am for this season at Next Step Dance Studio and especially for Miss Jacq. At the start of the season, my daughter was SO shy. She would cry, hide behind me, and was scared to go into class alone. Making friends and feeling comfortable in new situations was really hard for her. But Miss Jacq was so patient and caring from day one. She would look for her when she got nervous, help her feel included, and always made her feel safe and loved. Now she runs into dance by herself, gets so excited to see her friends every week, and honestly acts like a little dance pro now. Seeing her confidence grow this much makes me emotional because she’s like a completely different kid compared to the beginning of the season. Thank you, Miss Jacq, for loving these kids the way you do and for helping my daughter come out of her shell. It means more than you know.“A dance teacher is proof that one person can change a child’s confidence forever.”  - Talishia V
