6-Week Mini Sessions

at Next Step Dance Studio

Want your child to experience the magic of dance but don’t want the long-term commitment? These mini sessions are perfect for beginners or for busy families that aren’t ready to commit to a regular season dance class! We offer these short sessions for students ages 18 months to 9 years old  – along with some 18+ Adult Fitness Classes!

This is an excellent way to try something new, meet new friends and develop new skills. Join us for these 6-week sessions of fun and dancing!    

Dress code:  It is recommended that you wear any type of comfortable athletic wear.  Things like legging and tank tops work great!  Ballet shoes you can wear, or you can come in bare feet.  

Cost: $78 for 30 min. and $93 for 45 min. 

2024-2025 School Year – 6 Week Mini Sessions:  

Session I:  Sept. 9-Oct. 19

Session II:  Oct. 21-Dec. 7 (no Classes Nov. 26-30)

Session III:  Jan. 6-Feb. 15

Session IV:  Feb. 17- April 5 (No classes March 24-March 30)

Session V:  April 7- May 17

 

Ages 18 Months - 3 Years

       

Toddler and Me

6 week session, meets once a week for six weeks. No dance shoes needed. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in (tshirt, shorts/sweatpants, socks). No recital. Available for students ages 18 months to 3 and a caregiver, each class promotes development in social, motor and cognitive skills. As you join your child each week, you will notice the improvement in their self-esteem and confidence as they explore new and exciting activities with the security of you right beside them.

6 Week Mini Session – 30 minutes – $78/6 week session (no registration fee, pay for session at the time of registration)

This class does not perform in recital – no costume.

With parent – no dance shoes needed (wear comfy clothes & socks).

Ages 3-5 Years

Session I  Sept. 10-Oct. 15: Hip Hop Don’t Stop

A dance class that introduces Hip-Hop. Engaging music is used to get students inspired to dance while learning dance moves from today’s dance floors!

Session II Oct. 22-Dec. 3 (no Class Nov. 26):   Twirl and Tumble!

Learn the basics of jazz and tumbling/acro in this action packed class.  The secret to the class is that it is structured and fun!

Session III Jan. 7-Feb. 11:  Twinkle Fun

A dance class containing ballet, & creative movement. Engaging music is used to get students inspired to dance. The secret to the class is that it is structured and fun!

Session IV Feb. 18- April 1 (No class March 25): Disney Dance

A dance class that introduces ballet and jazz dance moves. This class will use recognizable Disney music that will keep your dancer moving!.

Session V: April 8- May 13: Beginner Ballerina

This dance class will introduce ballet to your dancer. This class will teach beginner ballet dance moves and terminology in a way that is structured and fun!

Ages 6 - 9 Years

Session I Sept. 11-Oct. 16:   Hip Hop Don’t Stop

A dance class that introduces Hip-Hop. Engaging music is used to get students inspired to dance while learning dance moves from today’s dance floors!

Session II Oct. 23-Dec. 4 (no Class Nov. 27):  Tumble, Jump, and Dance

This class will do a little tumbling/acro and intro to basic jazz dance. This is an action packed class.

Session III  Jan. 8-Feb. 12: Mix It Up!

This class is action packed with high energy movement.  Dancers should be ready to move in Jazz and Hip Hop and bend and stretch in Acro.  You won’t want to miss this class!  

Session IV Feb. 19- April 2 (No class March 26): Get Your Glow On

Flashing lights, dance all night at our mini glow in the dark dance class!  Grab your neon color clothes and get ready to dance! Learn new & fun Jazz/hip hop choreography to your favorite songs.

Session V April 9- May 14:  Pop Star Glam

This class will teach jazz and hip hop dance moves to your favorite pop hits! This is a class you won’t want to miss!

Refresh & Stretch:

6 week session, meets once a week for six weeks. No dance shoes needed. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in (tshirt, shorts/sweatpants, socks). Refresh & Stretch is full of relaxation and gentle movement. This stretching based class focuses on releasing tension throughout the entire body while also moving and increasing your flexibility

Cardio Barre:

6 week session, meets once a week for six weeks. No dance shoes needed. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in (tshirt, shorts/sweatpants, socks). Using upbeat and fast-paced songs, the movement never stops! This class focuses on each major muscle group making sure that you receive a full body workout.
