Schedule of Events

  • Tickets:
    Priority ticket sales (people who registered for VIP week) go on sale 11/4 @ 9:30am central
    Regular ticket sales go on sale 11/11 @ 10am

  • NO extra rehearsals. Preparations for the show will be during regularly scheduled classes
  • Dress Rehearsal/Picture week TBD  (All dancers wear their Holiday costumes to class with hair/makeup done.)
  • Show Date: Saturday, December 14th
  • Show Times: 9:00 am  & 11:00 am

*If you have multiple costumes, bring all costumes and wear the costume that is first in the show order (don’t forget your dance shoes).

Costume Information

 Select the show your dancer is performing in at the button below to see the performance order and what costume they require!

  • All Dancers: NSDS has all headpieces that will be handed out at recitals.

  • Hair: (video)
    – High bun at the crown of the head
    – No Part, no bangs

  • Makeup: (video)
    -Medium brown eyeshadow over the entire lid & dark brown in crease (or grays)
    -Blush
    -Black mascara and black eyeliner for the top and bottom of eyelashes
    -Red Lipstick
    -No jewelry, nail polish, glitter, or temporary tattoos are allowed for performances.
    *Parents are responsible for all makeup and hair supplies.

  • Picture Week/Dress Rehearsal: December 9th-13th at the studio during regular class time.  Saturday classes will attend Friday, December 13th for their dress rehearsal and pictures.

  • Holiday Show Day and Time: Saturday, December 14th (arrive 30 minutes before your dancer’s Showtime)

  • Location: Franklin Saber Center

Picture/Dress Rehearsal Week

December 9th-13th

(During Regular Class Time)

*Tuesday Morning Classes & Saturday Classes see times below

  • Pictures will be taken during your dancer’s regular class time by a professional photographer unless otherwise noted

  • Special Schedule for Tuesday morning & Saturday classes:

  • Come to class dressed in the Holiday costume with hair/makeup ready for pictures

  • If you want to purchase pictures, bring a completed picture envelope with payment.
    – One envelope is needed per dance. Fill out one order form completely. All other order forms only need the dancers name, dance, and package information. You can make one payment for all dance picture purchases.
    – The photographer will accept cash (need exact change – no change available at studio), check (made out to Network Photography), or credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
    – Digital photos will be delivered to your smartphone or emailed within 3 weeks.
    – Printed packages will be mailed directly to your home within 3-4 weeks.

  • If your dancer has more than one costume – please come to class in the costume that correlates with the class they are in.

  • Don’t forget your dance shoes!

Performance Day Info
Dancers need to arrive 30 minutes before their show with hair in a bun, makeup done and dressed in their first costume.

Programs:
This year our programs will be DIGITAL! There will be QR codes/web addresses displayed around the venue to show people how to view on their phones.
At Drop-off:
  • Have your dancer visit the restroom when you arrive, before checking in with NSDS staff.

  • Allow a few extra minutes.

  • When you arrive, please check in at the table with your dancer located in the Lobby of the School.

    • All Twinkle and Level I dancers will have one person drop them off and pick them up backstage. That person will get a wristband with dancer’s name on it and they will need that wristband to pick up dancer after show.

  • All Level II and Up students will meet their parents outside after the show.

  • Dancers will stay backstage for the entire show.

  • Please bring any additional costumes in a garment bag, labeled with the dancer’s name on everything! Don’t forget your dance shoes (ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop). Wear street shoes to the theatre and change into dance shoes backstage.

    Backstage during show:

    • Staff will help with all costume changes. Parents can sit back and enjoy the show!

    • No food allowed backstage. Water only.

    Audience:

    • No photography or videotaping during the show. It is dangerous for the performers.

    • Each family will receive a Digital Download as a memory of the show approximately 3 weeks after show.

    • Every person entering the theater needs a ticket with an assigned seat.

    • Late Arrival Policy: Performances start at the time stated on your ticket. If you arrive late & the performance has begun, ushers will seat you where it will be least disruptive to the audience and performers.

    Pick up after Show:

    • ALL Twinkle and Level I dancers will need the person with the wristband with dancer’s name on it, to come backstage and can pick up your dancer. The wristband is required at pickup for all of our dancer’s safety.
