Twinkle Babies (Ages 2-3)

 An introductory dance class containing ballet, & creative movement. Young dancers will learn the basic steps while learning how to follow direction and imitate movement in a positive environment. Engaging music is used to get students inspired to dance. 30 minute class. Without parent 2 to 3 years old. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance – costume included.
Dress Code: Pink ballet shoes, pink Twinkle Star skirted leotard, pink tights & Starter kit are required to be purchased from Next Step.

Twinkle Star Level I (Ages 3-4)

This class introduces young dancers to dance and inspires movement and creativity within a positive environment. Dancers will learn basic steps and terminology. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers’ minds and bodies. 45 minute class.  Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Pink ballet & tan tap shoes, pink Twinkle Star skirted leotard, pink tights & Starter box must be purchased from Next Step.
Dancers must be 3 years old by first class. 

Twinkle Star Level II (Ages 4-5)

An age specific class containing ballet and tap. This class is a continuation of level I and inspires movement and creativity within a positive environment. Dancers will learn basic steps and terminology. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers’ minds and bodies.  45 minute class.  Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Pink ballet & tan tap shoes, lilac Twinkle Star skirted leotard, pink tights & Starter box must be purchased from Next Step.
Dancers must be 4 years old by first class. 

Twinkle Star Level III (Ages 5-6)

An age specific class containing ballet and tap. This class is a continuation of level II and inspires movement and creativity within a positive environment. Dancers will learn basic steps and terminology. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers’ minds and bodies.  45 minute class.  Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Pink ballet & tan tap shoes, soft blue Twinkle Star skirted leotard, pink tights & Starter box must be purchased from Next Step.
Must be 5 years old by first class. 

Twinkle Jazz Acro (Ages 4-6)

Class includes jazz and acro and teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. We will focus strongly on stretching, flexibility & introduce somersaults, cartwheels, head stands & back bends. Jazz dance is fast & fun. It uses upbeat music & dancers will learn to use body isolations, leaps, turns & basic jazz steps. 45 minute class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Dancer wears Twinkle attire based on age purchased from Next Step. No shoes (bare feet). 

Hippity Hop (Ages 3-6)

This class will introduce basic hip hop movement and is a fun way to learn a new style of dancing that is not extremely technical or difficult. Each class begins with a warm-up filled with stretching and conditioning, moves into across the floor combinations, and ends with center floor choreography with popular hip hop steps from today’s dance floors. 30 minute class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress code: sparkle high top hip hop shoes must be purchased from Next Step and sweatpants/leggings & NSDS tshirt.

Spotlight (Ages 4-6)

Spotlight is a Company class. Company classes are ideal for dancers who are ready for a more focused classroom atmosphere & demanding commitment.  Please contact us via email for more information about our Competition Teams and to join this program.

Dancers in Spotlight must also take Twinkle Star II or III class.

Level I Ballet (Ages 6-8)

Ballet is the “backbone” of dance training, ballet develops strength, poise, coordination, flexibility, and discipline. 45 minute class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Pink ballet shoes, lavender leotard & pink tights must be purchased from Next Step.

Level I Jazz (Ages 6-8)

Jazz will be a high-energy class learning the basic steps such as jazz square, lindy and pivots with music the dancers will know from their favorite Disney shows. 45 minute class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Tan jazz shoes, lavender leotard & pink tights must be purchased from Next Step.

Level I Tap (Ages 6-8)

Tap utilizes percussive footwork, movements & sounds to create rhythmic patterns.  Students begin with basic rhythms & progress to more intricate, fast-paced combinations.
Dress Code: Black tap shoes, lavender leotard & pink tights must be purchased from Next Step.

Level I Acro (Ages 6-8)

This class teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. We will focus on stretching, flexibility & introduce somersaults, cartwheels, head stands & back bends. 45 minute class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Lavender leotard, convertible tan tights, no shoes (bare feet).

Level I Hip Hop (Ages 6-8)

This modern dance style requires precision movements offering a visual interpretation of modern music with a strong beat. Classes include a warm-up, across the floor work, and learning combination moves unique to this dance form. 45 minute class.  Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Sparkle high top hip hop shoes and NSDS Hip Hop shirt must be purchased from Next Step. Dancer wears sweatpants/leggings.

Petite Company (Ages 6-8)

Petite Company dancers are members of our Competition Team. Company classes are ideal for dancers who are ready for a more focused classroom atmosphere & demanding commitment.  Please contact us via email for more information about our Competition Teams and to join this program.

Must also take Level I Ballet and Level I Jazz. Highly recommend tap. Dress code is the same as other class. See Company Policies for more information.  Summer requirement: must take 1 session of Spotlight and 1 session of Sparkle Fun.

Intermediate Company (Ages 7-9)

Intermediate Company dancers are members of our Competition Team. Company classes are ideal for dancers who are ready for a more focused classroom atmosphere & demanding commitment.  Please contact us via email for more information about our Competition Teams and to join this program.

Highly recommend adding Lyrical. Buy pink ballet shoes, tan jazz shoes, black tie tap shoes, mulberry leotard, tan & pink tights (pink tights for ballet).  Summer requirement: must take Petite Co.(4 weeks) or  Int. Co. for 8 weeks.

Level II Ballet (Ages 9-11)

Ballet develops strength, poise, coordination, flexibility, and discipline which can also be translated to other dance styles. 45 minute class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Pink ballet shoes, mulberry leotard & pink tights must be purchased from Next Step.

Level II Lyrical (Ages 9-11)

Lyrical combines ballet, jazz and modern dance styles. Lyrical class will include a warm-up, across the floor work and center combinations. The dance moves are choreographed, based on the story told by the lyrics. Lyrical dancers will work on developing grace, strength and control. 45 minute class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Tan jazz shoes, mulberry leotard & tan tights must be purchased from Next Step.

Level II Jazz (Ages 9-11)

Jazz will be a high energy class where your dancer will learn the technique behind steps such as leaps, kicks, and turns with music the dancers will know and love. 45 minute class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Tan jazz shoes, mulberry leotard & tan tights must be purchased from Next Step.

Level II Tap (Ages 9-11)

Pre-Pointe / Pointe Ballet (Ages 9+)

Dancers will work on ballet technique through barre exercises and center work. This class will focus on proper posture, technique, and strengthening to prep the dancer for pointe shoes and to improve overall Pointe technique. i hour class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Pink ballet shoes, black leotard, and pink tights must be purchased through NSDS.
Prerequisite: Must take Level II Ballet, Junior Company, Tween Company, or Ultimate Company

Junior Company (Ages 8-11)

Junior Company dancers are members of our Competition Team. Company classes are ideal for dancers who are ready for a more focused classroom atmosphere & demanding commitment.  Please contact us via email for more information about our Competition Teams and to join this program.

Summer requirement: must take Intermediate Company or Junior Company for 8 weeks.

Level III Lyrical (Ages 11-13)

Lyrical combines ballet, jazz and modern dance styles. The dance moves are choreographed, based on the story told by the lyrics. Lyrical dancers will work on developing grace, strength and control. 45-min class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Tan jazz shoes, black leotard & tan tights must be purchased from Next Step.

Level III Jazz (Ages 11-13)

Jazz will be a high energy class where the dancers improve their technique behind kicks, leaps, and turns while dancing with music the dancers will know and love. 45-min class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Tan jazz shoes, black leotard & tan tights must be purchased from Next Step.

Level III Hip Hop (Ages 11-13)

This modern dance style requires precision movements offering a visual interpretation of modern music with a strong beat. Classes include a warm-up, across the floor work, and learning combination moves unique to this dance form. 45-min class.  Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Sparkle high top shoes and NSDS Hip Hop shirt must be purchased through NSDS. Dancers may wear leggings or sweatpants.

Tween (Ages 10-13)

Level IV Lyrical (ages 14+)

Lyrical dance utilizes techniques from both ballet and jazz to create an emotional and expressive dance that is meant to relate to the lyrics on the songs being danced to. Dancers will learn a warm up, across the floor combinations, and different combinations. 45-min class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Tan jazz shoes, tan tights, and black leotard.

Level IV Jazz (ages 14+)

With a strong focus on technique, dancers learn combinations that incorporate jumps and turns into the differing jazz styles. A student taking jazz will develop stamina, strength and flexibility. 45-min class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Tan jazz shoes, tan tights, and black leotard.

Level IV Hip Hop (ages 14+)

This modern dance style requires precision movements offering a visual interpretation of modern music with a strong beat. Classes include a warm-up, across the floor work, and learning combination moves unique to this dance form. 45-min class. Dancers learn & perform one recital dance.
Dress Code: Sparkle high top shoes and NSDS Hip Hop shirt must be purchased through NSDS.

Ultimate Company (Invite Only)

Company classes are ideal for dancers who are ready for a more focused classroom atmosphere & demanding commitment.  Please contact us via email for more information about our Competition Teams and to join this program.

Leadership

Leadership Class: 45-minute class. Learn what it takes to be a great leader and mentor younger dancers.  Part of this class will consist of learning about The National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) which is a program of the National Dance Education Organization that recognizes outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement while fostering an appreciation for dance as a true art form worthy of recognition and prestige.  Members have a positive role in the community and for the dancers around them.
This is an add-on class and does not have a recital dance or costume.

Saturdays (one Saturday per month 11:45-12:30 pm)

$99 pay in full for year at time of registration or $10 per month

Adult Fitness

6 Week Mini Sessions:

Refresh & Stretch: Refresh & Stretch is full of relaxation and gentle movement. This stretching-based class focuses on releasing tension throughout the entire body while also moving and increasing your flexibility.
6 week session, meets once a week for six weeks. No dance shoes needed. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in (tshirt, shorts/sweatpants, socks).

Cardio Barre: Using upbeat and fast-paced songs, the movement never stops! This class focuses on each major muscle group making sure that you receive a full body workout.
